We are more than just an online betting platform. 1Malaysia 8 was built by Malaysians, for Malaysians — with a deep understanding of what local sports fans and casino enthusiasts truly want from a platform they can trust.
1Malaysia 8 is an online Sports Betting and casino platform built specifically for the Malaysian market. We understand that Malaysians have unique tastes and needs — from a passion for the local Liga Super and badminton, to a preference for everyday payment methods like Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, and DuitNow.
Our name reflects that identity. "1Malaysia" embodies the spirit of unity that runs deep in this nation, while "8" in Asian culture carries connotations of luck and prosperity. This combination is no coincidence — it represents exactly what we aim to bring every user on our platform: an experience that feels like home, with the chance to find luck in every session.
We started this journey with one simple goal: to build a betting platform that Malaysians could genuinely trust. Not just in terms of technical security, but trust that the odds offered are fair, that winnings won't be delayed without reason, and that customer support will respond in a language they're comfortable with.
Today, 1Malaysia 8 covers betting on more than 80 sports leagues and tournaments worldwide, over 180 live casino tables operating around the clock, and a growing range of lottery, poker, and e-sports games. Everything is accessible through a single platform that is lightweight, mobile-responsive, and fully secure.
1Malaysia 8 was founded by a group of local sports developers and analysts with a vision to build a betting platform that truly understands Malaysian users. The platform's first version launched with a focus on football and the Liga Super.
The badminton and cricket sections were introduced in response to strong demand from Malaysian users. Thomas Cup and All England coverage quickly became some of the most popular content on our platform that year.
The live dealer studio launched with 40 tables from day one. That same year, integration with Touch 'n Go eWallet and GrabPay was completed — making 1Malaysia 8 the first Malaysian betting platform to support both major eWallets simultaneously.
This major milestone was reached in just five years of operation. The VIP programme was launched that same year to recognise the loyalty of members who have been with us from the start.
Native apps for Android and iOS were launched with an interface fully optimised for smaller screens. An e-sports section was also added to cover Mobile Legends, DOTA 2, and CS2 tournaments — all increasingly popular among younger Malaysian players.
With over 180 Live Casino tables, 80+ sports leagues, and a growing range of new game categories, 1Malaysia 8 continues to cement its position as the go-to platform for Malaysians seeking a safe and enjoyable online betting and casino experience.
Six core features that shape our platform's unique experience for Malaysian users
All user data and financial transactions on 1Malaysia 8 are protected with industry-standard 256-bit SSL encryption. Our casino games' random number generation (RNG) system has been audited by a recognised international independent body, ensuring every game outcome is genuinely fair and cannot be manipulated. You can play with complete peace of mind, knowing your funds and personal data are fully secure on our platform.
1Malaysia 8 is one of the few platforms that supports all major Malaysian payment methods simultaneously. Deposits and withdrawals via Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, DuitNow, FPX (Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks), Boost, and ShopeePay — all processed quickly with no hidden fees. The minimum deposit is just RM20, and winnings are typically withdrawn in under 15 minutes.
From the Liga Super Malaysia and the Thomas & Uber Cup, to the Piala Malaysia and national team qualification matches — 1Malaysia 8 offers deeper betting markets for local sports than any other platform. We understand that Malaysian sports fans want more than just win/lose markets — they want markets that reflect their in-depth knowledge of their favourite teams and players.
The 1Malaysia 8 live casino studio features trained dealers who understand Malaysian cultural context and can communicate in both Bahasa Melayu and English. Multi-angle HD streaming ensures every baccarat round, every blackjack deal, and every roulette spin is crystal clear on any device. This is more than just a game — it's a complete social experience from the comfort of your home.
Over 78% of 1Malaysia 8 users access the platform via smartphone. That's why we've invested heavily in ensuring every aspect of the platform — from menu navigation and live odds display to casino tables and deposit/withdrawal functions — runs flawlessly on mobile screens without lag or freezing. Native apps for Android and iOS are also available for an even smoother experience.
1Malaysia 8 believes that great entertainment must come with responsibility. Our platform provides deposit limit tools, session time limits, and self-exclusion options that users can activate on their own. We also work with local mental health organisations to ensure players who need support know where to turn. Play for fun, play smart — that's our motto.
Milestones we're proud of — built on the trust of Malaysian users over eight years
To deliver the safest, fairest, and most enjoyable Sports Betting and online casino experience for Malaysians — backed by local payment methods, culturally relevant content, and customer support that truly understands the needs of Malaysian users.
To be the number one online entertainment platform of choice for Malaysians — known not only for our wide selection of games, but for our integrity, transparency, and commitment to our ever-growing user community.
This question is easy to answer if you ask any of our long-time members — the response is almost always the same: "It feels like a platform built by Malaysians, for Malaysians."
And that was our intention from the very beginning. When we built this platform, we didn't simply copy an overseas betting platform and translate it into Bahasa Melayu. We sat down with many Malaysian sports fans and casino enthusiasts, listened to what they liked and disliked about platforms they had used before, and built something that genuinely solves their problems.
A simple example: payments. Many other platforms only accept bank transfers or credit cards — which is inconvenient for the many Malaysians who prefer Touch 'n Go eWallet or GrabPay, apps they already use every day. At 1Malaysia 8, you can make a deposit in under two minutes from any eWallet or online banking service you're already familiar with.
The second thing users frequently mention is local sports coverage. Most international platforms focus solely on European and major global leagues — Liga Super Malaysia, Piala Malaysia, and local badminton tournaments are often overlooked or covered with very limited markets. At 1Malaysia 8, this is a priority for us, because we know local teams are closest to the hearts of Malaysian sports fans.
Finally, there is the matter of trust. In an industry full of platforms that come and go, 1Malaysia 8 has operated consistently for eight years with a clean payment record. This is not something that can be faked or bought — it is earned through a daily commitment to doing right by every one of our users, one at a time.
